Scio Township Fire Department is preparing to hire 1 new firefighter as a replacement for an expected retirement this spring. In addition, we anticipate hiring 3 non-SAFER funded (budgeted) entry-level firefighters early fall 2024.

We require a 75% score to be called for an interview, Full-time firefighters will undergo a background investigation and medical exam prior to hire. Firefighter I & II, EMT basic, and a valid physical agility test are required at time of hire.
